Meadows Park Pool

This park has a picnic area with charcoal grills. They also have a large open-air pool. It is a 12-acre park. The pool is a good size and the atmosphere is clean and fun!  The pool has 8 lanes and is 25 yards by 25 meters. They have diving boards and a locker room with climate control. The pool is heated for seasonal warming. There is deck lighting for swimming in the evenings.

Sugar Sand Park

Sugar Sand Park is a municipal park. The Greater Boca Raton Beach developed it and it is operated by the City of Boca Raton. In 2007, it won “Best of the Best Parks.”  It has won several other awards for excellence as well. There are public pick-up games of volleyball and basketball. There are classes for taekwondo and fencing. There are tournaments and special events hosted here.

The Field House is an indoor sports facility with 2 large indoor basketball courts. It hosts several leagues, tournaments and special events. It is also home to several classes and activities such as fencing and taekwondo. The Field House is open to public pick-up games of basketball and volleyball. The actual playground is massive and there is a splash pad in the center.

Spanish River Athletic Park

1000 Spanish River Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33431

It is a good place to skate. There is nice gravel, which is easy on the wheels. There are climbing ropes, swings, slides, a climbing wall and places available to sit. There are restrooms nearby and parking. For July 4 there is food, music, and fireworks.

Patch Reef Park

2000 Yamato Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431

This park boasts an electronic playground as well as abundant sports & recreation facilities, including a tennis center. There’s a large area for kids with a sprinkler. It’s safe and quiet. The parking lot is huge and there are places to sit in the shade.

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center

1801 N Ocean Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33432

The Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is operated by the city. Gumbo Limbo helps save the sea turtles. The beaches here are a nesting habitat for the green, leatherback, and loggerhead turtles. The Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex also is a research facility for FAU. They focus on researching things like sea turtle behavior. Visitors are welcome to chat with the research personnel.

Children’s Science Explorium

300 S Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33486

This location has programs for kids including interactive exhibits and covering a wide range of science-based topics. There are a walk and a garden area. There is a spot for water play, a play structure and places to sit in the shade. Parking is free.

This park has a playground, BBQ pits, picnic areas and is a relaxed oceanfront park. It is a very beautiful place. It is a great spot for family fun and fishing.
